The cost of our SLA 3D printing services depends on the material used, the size and complexity of the object, and the quantity needed. We provide a custom quote for each project upon call.
Stereolithography (SLA)
Home » Stereolithography (SLA)
The photopolymer resins interact with the laser to form a precise solid surface. The laser beam is directed in the X-Y axis on the surface of the resin according to the 3D data (.stl file). The resin solidifies in the areas hit by the laser. Once each layer is completed there is a fraction of drop in the platform within the vat (Z-axis). This process will be repeated till the entire object is made and the platform can be raised out of vat for removal. The process involves cleaning and curing of the final products. Curing refers to the method of heating the part by passing intense light in an oven like structure to fully harden the resin. SLA process is mainly used to produce parts with smooth finish and which has detailing in it.
