Fused Deposition Printing (FDM)

Home » Fused Deposition Printing (FDM)
Fused Deposition Printing (FDM) is a widely used 3D printing process in the industry as it is comparatively budget-friendly and boasts of less production time. Our team of professionals, with the help of a CAD file, deposit the melted material layer by layer on a build tray in a defined path to develop a 3D prototype or a finished product. The CAD file is further used to remove any support material attached to the product. Thus, almost eliminating the need for post-processing. FDM allows a wider range of materials to be used for 3D printing in Dubai, making it a cost-effective technology. Being able to build complex geometrical models is an added advantage

Application

  • Sand casting patterns and molds with little detailing.
  • Prototypes are used in form, fit, and function testing.
  • ABS and Nylon based prototypes.
  • Complex end-use parts.

FDM 3D printing can be done using a wide range of thermoplastic materials, including PLA, ABS, and PETG.
The melted material is extruded through the print nozzle in FDM. As the material is stacked, it becomes harder.
